Research Objectives and Approach
Using FIB and TEM facilities at the NUANCE Center, I aim to analyze defects and interfaces in quantum computing qubits as part of Northwestern’s new Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems Center (SQMS). Understanding structural and compositional details at the nanoscale in these devices will enable us to isolate and eliminate potential sources of decoherence, leading to faster and more efficient quantum computers.
