Research Objectives
I employ advanced sample preparation and microscopy methods to image soft materials, particularly small biological molecules such as proteins and protein assemblies. I focus on contrast enhancement, both through heavy metal staining and low-voltage imaging. My work also highlights high-throughput imaging using scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) in a scanning electron microscope (SEM), an unusual technique for biological materials.
