Research Objectives and Approach
My project will incorporate the development of advanced scan probe microscopy techniques to explore dynamic nanoscale behavior of biological and inorganic materials. Taking advantage of the mechanical contact unique to scan probe microscopy, we will correlate nanoscale structure with dynamic properties such as temperature, ferroelectricity, and stiffness.
