Roberto dos Reis Selected for a Grand Challenges Award through the National Quantum Algorithm Center at the IQMP

Dr. Roberto dos Reis's project was selected for a Grand Challenges Award through the National Quantum Algorithm Center at the Institute for Quantum Matter and Physics (IQMP). His team—including Professor Nikos Hardavellas, researchers from IBM and AbbVie—was one of only five projects funded by IQMP. Their project, A Hamiltonian Simulation Compiler for Drug Design and Materials Discovery, focuses on democratizing access to quantum systems for simulating molecular interactions relevant to drug discovery and advanced materials design.

Additional details about the funded projects are available through the IQMP announcement, along with the announcement from Governor JB Pritzker.
