A research publication led by Michael Barsoum was selected for the front cover of Nano Letters, one of the leading journals in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The cover artwork accompanies the manuscript,“Crystal Orientation and Defect Mapping in Electron-Beam-Sensitive Zeolites with Near-Axis Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction”.

The cover depicts "the kinematical simulation of the Ewald sphere in a 2D projection for Zeolite A. When indexed, these bands contain rich information regarding material phase, particle orientation, and even symmetry." You can see Mike's artwork in Nano Letters Volume 26, Issue 6.
