Jack Hegarty Publishes Front Cover of ACS

Dravid Group Ph.D. student, Jack Hegarty has received a notable honor: his original artwork has been selected as the front cover of the June 2025 issue of ACS ES&T Water, a premier journal of the American Chemical Society. The cover highlights his recent publication, “Laundry to Laboratory: Automated Image Analysis for Fibrous Microplastics", a study that introduces a highly accurate, accessible, and automated method for analyzing fibrous microplastics, paving the way for more standardized and efficient monitoring of a major source of ocean plastic pollution.
