Peter Lim Presents Recent Research Developments at the SQMS Center Collaboration Workshop
Peter Lim, a graduate student of the group, attended and presented at the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems Center (SQMS) collaboration workshop, hosted by Ames National Laboratory in Iowa.
SQMS, led by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), is one of five research centers funded by the U.S. Department of Energy as part of a national initiative to develop and deploy the world’s most powerful quantum computers and sensors.
Collaborators from Northwestern, Fermilab, Ames, Iowa State University, and Rigetti Computing came together to discuss progress in understanding materials-level sources of performance variations in superconducting qubits, a promising hardware platform for next-generation quantum computers.
Peter was also joined by VPD group alum Dr. Akshay Murthy, now group leader for Materials for Quantum Devices at Fermilab.
