VPD Group welcomes 2 new doctoral students

The VPD Group is pleased to add 2 first year doctoral students to the group: Yukun Liu and Jack Hegarty. Yukun will focus on optimizing properties of thermoelectric materials. He will investigate the relation between nanostructures and their effects on the electron conduction and phonon scattering mechanisms via electron microscopy. The focus of Jack's research is the synthesis of novel nanocomposites for environmental remediation applications. Yukun and Jack will be full-time members of the VPD group.
