VPD Group Takes ACS Fall
Ben Shindel and Jack Hegarty each gave two presentations at the fall meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Francisco.
Ben presented on the "Adsorptive Properties of the World's Most Consumed Beverage," as well as on "Expanding the Library of Materials for Moisture-Swing Direct Air Carbon Capture." Jack presented on "Advancing Humidity-Swing Direct Air Carbon Capture with Ion Exchange Resins," and "Nanocomposite Membranes for Mitigation of Nanoplastic Pollution." Both talks on carbon capture were particularly well-attended, with an audience of more than 30 faculty, students, and interested industry members.
Ben additionally received an award from the American Chemical Society's Committee on Education for his leadership in mentoring.
