Northwestern Hooding Ceremony 2023

On June 11th, 2023, three VPD group members walked the stage at the Welsh-Ryan Arena to be hooded as PhD graduates. Professor Vinayak Dravid did the honor of hooding his students on this momentous occasion. During their time at Northwestern, Dr. Chi Zhang focused her research on heteroanionic materials, involving synthesis and characterization of complex heteroanionic material. Dr. Matthew Cheng primarily focused his studies on the novel transition metal chalcophosphates for the use in next generation optoelectronic applications, while Dr. Chamille Lescott researched self-assembled polymer structures.
