VPD Group Participates in MSSA 5K

May 11, 2019

VPD Group participated in the Materials Science Student Association (MSSA) 5K race over the weekend. One VPD student Akshay Murthy placed first in the entire race with a time of 17:42.7. Tirzah Abbott, our Senior Electron Microscopy and Imagining Specialist came in fourth place in the women's category with a time of 22:20.8. All proceeds of this race went towards two good causes - Junior Science Club (JSC) and Letters to a Prescientist (LPS). Both programs help bridge younger generations to a future in science! Great job everyone in representing VPD Group at the race!
