Jen DiStefano wins AAAS award

VPD Group member Jen DiStefano was awarded for her poster presentation at the American Association for the Advancement of Science's annual meeting.

The meeting was held in Washington D.C. from Feb. 14-17. This year's theme was "Science Transcending Boundaries."

DiStefano competed in the technology, engineering, and math category of the student poster competition. She received 1st place in her category.

"I went to the conference because I'm very interested in pursuing a career in science policy," DiStefano said. "The conference was a great opportunity to meet with scientists now working in policy, particularly AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellows."
