2D subgroup members present work at MRS

Akshay Murthy and Jennifer DiStefano, graduate students in the VPD group, presented their respective work at the Materials Research Society Fall meeting in Boston last week. The conference brings together scientists and engineers exploring various areas of materials science from around the world.

Jen's oral presentation was titled "The Solution to the Solution—Colloidal Suspension of 3D Architectures of 2D Materials" and offered a new methodology for accessing unique core-shell nanocomposites through solution chemistry.

Akshay's poster presentation was titled "Interface Dynamics in Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenides under Applied Bias" and used electron microscopy to examine the role interfaces in 2D systems play when subjected to an external bias.
