Eve Hanson and Ben Myers graduate

Northwestern University’s commencement celebrations took place on Friday. VPD Group had two graduates in the Class of 2018: Eve Hanson and Ben Myers.

Eve defended her thesis, titled "Synthesis and property engineering of the 2D oxides and chalcogenides,” in February. She has been working since March as an engagement manager for Citrine Informatics, a California-based company that created a platform that utilizes artificial intelligence to manage materials data.

Ben Myers completed his PhD while also working as the director of operations of SHyNE. Ben connects external users with the proper resources here at Northwestern and coordinates SHyNE activity within the larger NNCI network. He successfully defended his thesis in April.
