VPD Group members Ryoo and Singh moving to new positions

VPD Group members Soo-Ryoon Ryoo and Abha Singh will each be leaving Northwestern to start new positions.

Ryoo will be a research professor at Dankook University in South Korea. She will be affiliated with the Institute of Tissue Regeneration Engineering and the Department of Nanobiomedical Science.

Singh is leaving Northwestern but remaining in the Chicago area: She will be a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Illinois — Chicago. Singh will be working with professor Asrar Malik, the head of the Department of Pharmacology.

"My research will broadly focus on development and evaluation of therapeutic nanoparticles against inflammatory disease models," she said. "I am excited about the new work where I feel I can use my current experience and exposure achieved in VPD Group. I will definitely keep my roots attached with VPD Group.​"
