Qing Tu presents work at American Vacuum Society symposium

Qing Tu gave a presentation at the American Vacuum Society's 65th international symposium last month. This event is the largest conference on surface, interface, vacuum and thin film science and technology. It was held in Long Beach, California, on Oct. 23.

Tu presented his work titled, "Out-of-Plane Mechanical Properties of 2D Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites," during a session on the properties of 2D materials including electronic, magnetic, mechanical, optical and thermal properties. Tu's work is the first report on the mechanical properties of the 2D HOIPs, a new member of the 2D family.

Qing poses near the schedule for the AVS symposium.
