VPD Group Alumnus Awarded

Professor Elizabeth Dickey was honored on May 16 at McCormick Materials Science and Engineering Department's Second Annual Alumni Celebration.  Dr. Dickey was recognized for her work in advancing electron microscopy and spectroscopy to understand interfaces in ceramic and composite materials.  She has also been prolific in the synthesis of nanostructured materials.

Elizabeth's dissertation was supervised by Professor Dravid.  Since receiving her PhD at Northwestern in 1997, Professor Dickey has worked at Penn State and is currently the  Director of Graduate Programs at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
