"Lotus in Pond" selected as a finalist in "Science as Art": 2007 MRS Fall Meeting

Aslam, Zixiao and Shuyou worked together to obtain an image of zinc oxide using an ESEM. The petals are ZnO single crystal clusters nucleated and grown from lithography-defined seeded ZnO areas, by means of a room temperature chemical process. This image was also selected as the holiday card image for the NUANCE Center from many wonderful and creative entries.
