Research Objectives and Approaches

My long-term objective is to target cancerous cells with iron oxide nanostructures (MNS), image their location using magnetic resonance imaging, and destroy the cell they are located in using thermal activation. Research topics I have covered include synthesis, physiological stabilization, and cellular and animal studies of MNS. After college, I plan to earn an MD, PhD so that I may ease the translation of novel diagnostics and therapeutics from laboratory research to clinical applications.
