Vikas received an honorable mention at a scientific image exhibition

Congratulations! Vikas' MNS image has been selected as one of the top 12 images in Northwestern University's annual scientific image contest, "Capturing the Beauty of Science," that celebrates and showcases the aesthetic side of research. Each  year scientists across Northwestern submit images from their work which are then judged by a panel of artists, scientists and community leaders. Submissions in 2015 represented the breadth of Northwestern research including astrophysics, neurobiology, engineering and nanotechnology.

All the 12 winning images were exhibited in an open to public exhibition launch event that took place in the Auditorium Gallery of Evanston Public High School. Vikas received an honorable mention for his image. Over the winter and spring, all the 12 winning images will be exhibited to other public locations across Evanston and Chicago. Venues include Evanston Public Library, Chicago Public Library's Harold Washington Library Center and the Museum of Science and Industry. The winning researchers will have opportunities to present their research to a variety of public audiences through events, workshops and Q&A sessions at all partner venues.
