Professor Dravid hosted Special Seminar for Prof. S.M. Shivaprasad

Prof. S.M. Shivaprasad from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, India is currently a Visiting Professor at NU MSE. Today, Prof. Dravid hosted a Special Seminar during which Prof. Shivaprasad gave a talk on “Gallium Nitride Nanostructures: Synthesis and Multi-functional Properties”.

Professor S.M. Shivaprasad obtained his M.Sc (1979) Ph.D (1982) in Thin Film Physics from Karnatak University. He then did his post-doctoral research at IIT, Delhi and University of Sussex, before joining National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, as a Scientist in 1986 and headed the Surface Physics and Nanostructures Group. Since 2007, he has been serving the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research as Professor both at the International Centre for Materials Science and the Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit.
