Karl Hujsak visits collaborators in Basel, Switzerland

Week-long visit explored new collaborations in the field of biophysics and diagnostics

Karl in Basel, Switzerland

First year graduate student Karl Hujsak returned from a week-long visit to Basel, Switzerland. He met with collaborators at ETH Zurich (Prof. Daniel Muller) and University Basel (Prof. Christoph Gerber, famed co-inventor of AFM, and his senior group member, Dr. Hans Peter Lang) to further strengthen Dravid lab ties with international partners.  The visit focused on developing new research in the fields of biophysics and medical diagnostics centered on Dravid lab expertise in nanoscience. Specifically, Karl discussed partnering with with Muller lab experts on membrane biomechanics to study cell material interfaces and delivered state of the art MOSFET sensors to Gerber lab for experiments.
