Alex Freedman acted as lighting designer and master electrician for ETOPiA's production of "The How and the Why" by Sarah Treem

ETOPiA uses performance arts staged in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences to inspire a cross-disciplinary dialogue about the role of science and technology in society.  This year's show tells the story of a professor and a graduate student in evolutionary biology, connected by their competing evolutionary theories about the female body, but their relationship actually goes far deeper.  The show features well-respected Chicago area actors and will run through Sunday, October 14th in Cohen Commons in the Technological Institute at Northwestern.  More information, including how to make a reservation, can be found at etopia.northwestern.edu.
