Research Objectives

I am in charge of synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of magnetic nanostructures that have superparamagnetic properties for cancer therapeutic application. Specifically, I provide the nanostructure with not only the core that gives theranostic properties but also the coating that provides biocompatibility and stability. I aim to ensure that the magnetic nanostructures have enhanced localized contrast in MRI and also able to generate heat under external radio frequency (RF) field.
