Hitachi HD-2700 STEM imaging at HarvardMarch, 2015
Jinsong and Jeff traveled to Harvard in March to use the Hitachi HD-2700 STEM that is housed there. They used its various imaging and spectroscopic capabilities to look at monolayer molybdenum disulfide, Au-Ag nanorods, and Li-ion battery cathode materials.
Below are three images of a doped MoS2 sample. First image shows a MoS2-MoSe2 flake, and the second one is the "core" where the flake growth nucleated. Third one is false colored image based on diffraction from that particular section.
