Research Objectives and Approach
My research would focus on ferromagnetic/ferroelectric materials, including magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) and multiferroic materials. I will apply soft-eBL to grow novel nanostrucures of ferromagnetic/ferroelectric materials here in Northwestern University. Structure/properties analysis will be conducted mainly in Argonne National Lab under guidance of Dr. Amanda Petford-Long. Among all characterization facilities, TEM-based characterization techniques will be widely used in my research project.
