Research Objectives and Approaches

Currently, our lab is synthesizing magnetic nanoparticles of specified shapes and sizes. Due to their magnetic properties, these particles have dual applications as contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and immunologically targeted therapeutics. I plan to conduct in vitro cytotoxicity studies of these nanoparticles and hope to determine the effects of RF-induced hyperthermia on different cellular targets.
